- What the extension does.
- It scans the text of web pages you visit, classifies sentences, and highlights them, and assesses blocks of page content, collapsing or hiding content judged to be net-negative. For users with the research feature enabled, research briefs are generated for some claims.
- What we process.
- When you visit a page for which the extension is enabled based on your settings, its content is sent to our classification service.
- Lawful basis.
- We process this content in the exercise of legitimate interests in providing the extension's core functionality.
- Why.
- Solely to provide the functionality of the service. We do not sell data, advertise, or build profiles.
- Third parties.
- The service uses AI model providers to implement its functionality, and also uses third-party search engines for the research briefs. Calls to AI models are covered by zero-data-retention arrangements, so content sent to them is not stored, logged, or used for training.
- Retention.
- Our service caches the above data and its assessments temporarily to provide the service but does not store it persistently.
- Hosting.
- Our application code does not log page content; our hosting provider may keep standard operational logs.
